More than 1,000 American flags are set up in a field to express gratitude to veterans and first responders. Each flag tells the story of heroes whose lives were devoted in service to others, many of whom made the ultimate sacrifice. The display also honors family members, friends, and neighbors for their service and sacrifices. Special programs are held throughout the week to recognize the community’s heroes including programs from veterans organizations, musical performances, patriotic re-enactments, and static displays.
